Microsoft Announces Android App Mirroring on Windows 10

Microsoft is finally offering something for the Android app developers and Android app users. Keeping these requirements of people in mind, Microsoft announced a new feature for Windows 10 in Microsoft Surface event held on 2nd Oct, 2018 in New York City which will let Android phone users view and use any app on their device from a Windows desktop. This feature which Microsoft is referring to as app mirroring and shows up in Windows as an app called Your Phone, seems to be working best with Android as of now. Microsoft also announced the ability to transfer webpages from an iPhone to a Windows 10 desktop hence you can pick up where you left off on your mobile phone easily.
Your Phone app looks to be a significant step in helping bridge Windows 10 and the mobile ecosystem after the failure of Windows Phone. All of these news was announced in the Microsoft Surface event. Although people didn’t see an extensive demo onstage but people did get a look at the user exchanging Snapchat messages with a friend on a Surface device using the latest app-mirroring feature.
Microsoft says that this feature will now be available with the new Windows 10 October update and it will be very useful in the Android Development and people associated with it. It is starting with the mirroring of the Android Stock texting and photos apps and iPhone webpage transfer, with more fully features Android app support which is coming later this year. Although it is not clear right now whether iPhone user will get any additional features for the Your Phone App in coming future or not.
