ALISSA M. PEASHKA

Alissa brings not only a great deal of experience to the Law Offices of Dianne Sawaya, but a real creativity that has served her clients well. Recognized as a SuperLawyers “Rising Star”, Alissa says her favorite part of the legal process is Discovery. “I like the discovery process because I feel like a detective: It’s like fitting the individual jigsaw puzzle pieces together to see the big picture. I particularly find medical records interesting!”

Alissa’s professional life has been dedicated to the law. Before beginning her Juris Doctorate in 2008, she had worked as a legal secretary and junior paralegal.

Away from the office, Alissa is all about her family, including her pair of Great Danes. She is also a talented artist, having graduated from Colorado State University with a B.A. double-major in English Literature and Music. She has played the piano and violin for years and has both acted and directed productions with the Upstart Crow Theatre Company in Boulder, CO.
